Well my friends, on behalf of the Dean Family and me, it is with a heavy heart that I let you know it has been confirmed that The Upper Deck will not reopen. In combination of the pending sale and the damage incurred in the relentless tides over the weekend, it’s just not in the cards to squeeze out the last 2018 season as I hoped we’d be able to do.
I want to thank each and every customer (FRIEND) that ever graced us with a visit, every bit of musical talent that shared their art on our stage (ONLY THE BEST), and every co-worker (FAMILY) that called The Upper Deck home over the past 12 years. I call all of you MY family.
To the motorcycling community that always supported The Upper Deck even when some in the town were not as welcoming as they should have been, I THANK YOU for continuing to frequent our beach and businesses, although sometimes in the face of adversity. Please know that those few that opposed us for whatever reason did not and do not speak for all of Salisbury. There have been MANY in the SPD, SFD, and DPW and various Town Boards that helped to support and facilitate the many great events we were able to have. We as a group were able to do countless things for our Veteran’s causes, catastrophic illnesses and aided the families of our brothers and sisters that have fallen on trying times. I always called The Upper Deck a melting pot that welcomed ALL, and that is exactly what we did.
From the bottom of my heart, you have my gratitude, my respect and my love.
